This study is significant as, "14% of early treated Lyme disease patients suffered quality of life impairing persistent symptoms when examined 6 to 12 months later. Fatigue, pain and cognitive symptoms persisted despite early diagnosis and prompt treatment." It's important to bring attention to those experiencing long-haul Lyme disease and continue searching for answers, as well as an effective treatment.
