The new Lyme+ Podcast, associated with Global Lyme Alliance, explores the world of Lyme disease and it's adjacent illnesses through expert insights, personal stories, and the latest research updates.

NEW YORK, NY, September 30, 2024 – Global Lyme Alliance (GLA), the leading organization in Lyme disease research, education, and patient advocacy, is proud to announce the launch of its new podcast, Lyme+. This podcast is designed to provide a dedicated platform for exploring the complexities of Lyme disease and Lyme-adjacent health concerns, while offering insights from experts, personal stories, and updates on the latest research. Lyme+ will go live on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024.

Lyme+ reflects GLA’s ongoing commitment to amplifying the voices of the Lyme disease community and deepening public understanding of this often misunderstood illness. Each episode will cover a wide range of topics, from the intricacies of Lyme disease diagnosis and treatment to personal experiences and health and wellness strategies relevant to those affected by Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.

The podcast is hosted by Kenzie Vath, Vice President of Innovation at Pacific Hospitality Group and Board Member of GLA, and Dan Wagner, Senior Category Manager of the Unifirst Corporation and member of the GLA Ambassador Program, both of whom have personal connections to Lyme disease and bring their unique perspectives to the conversations. Through interviews with medical professionals, researchers, advocates, and patients, Lyme+ aims to foster a deeper understanding of Lyme disease, while empowering those affected with knowledge and resources.

“I am deeply passionate about furthering GLA's mission, and I believe the Lyme+ podcast will serve as an ideal platform to educate the community about what sets GLA apart,” shared Kenzie Vath, co-host of Lyme+. “Each episode is thoughtfully designed to tackle challenging topics like chronic Lyme disease, diagnostic struggles, and treatment options that aren’t often discussed openly. It’s our hope that the podcast offers support, understanding, and hope to those affected by tick-borne illnesses, while also shining a light on the incredible work being done to find solutions.”

“I am thrilled that the Lyme+ Podcast is launching. This is the culmination of so many passionate people coming together to help the Lyme community,” said Dan Wagner, co-host of Lyme+. “Our goal is to create a place where patients and their families can hear directly from those on the front lines—whether it’s researchers developing new diagnostic tools or patients sharing how they’ve navigated their own Lyme journey. It’s all about creating a stronger, more informed, and connected community.”

Lyme+ is part of GLA’s broader strategy to educate, support, and advocate for the Lyme disease community. As a trusted resource, GLA continues to lead in funding research and providing platforms for patient resources and community building. The podcast aligns with these goals, offering listeners a space to learn, connect, and stay informed about the latest developments in Lyme disease research and treatment.
