Dr. Jutras' lab wins Phase 3 of LymeX Diagnostics Prize for the innovative Lyme disease test using monoclonal antibodies and immuno-PCR.

The LymeX Diagnostics Prize, a competition to accelerate the development of diagnostics for Lyme disease, has announced the Phase 3 winners. Among them is the team led by Dr. Brandon Jutras (formerly of Virginia Tech, now at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine), recognized for their innovative test using monoclonal antibodies with immuno-PCR and lateral flow to detect a unique Borrelia burgdorferi biomarker in blood and urine. This method holds promise for rapid and accurate Lyme disease detection.

Cara DeAngelis, Director of Research at GLA, weighed in: "We’re thrilled to see the progress being made in advancing Lyme disease diagnostics through the LymeX Diagnostics Prize! A special congratulations to the team led by Dr. Brandon Jutras, one of our grantees, for being recognized as a Phase 3 winner.
