Global Lyme Alliance Recently Hosted its 3rd Annual SubLyme Soirée in Chicago. Thank you to everyone who made it a special and successful event.
Thank you to everyone who supported Global Lyme Alliance’s 3rd Annual SubLyme Soirée. Most importantly, huge thanks to the three amazing event chairs–Alex Moresco, Darcy Rogers, and Laura Kimmel. Special thanks also to the team of honorary co-chairs, including Trina Abraham Heffley, Zach Abraham, Scott Moresco, Lynda Moresco, Suzanne LaCava, and Dr. Robert Lacava, and singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben for his moving performance. And to all the talented chefs for sharing their talents and food!
The event, August 22, 2019 at Venue West in Chicago, brought together Lyme disease patients, researchers, and the community, to learn about the disease and raise funds to support research, education and awareness efforts.
The night paid special tribute to Kasey Passen, who lost her battle with Lyme disease last year. Kasey was dedicated to raising awareness about the illness and introduced GLA to the Chicago community, and inspired GLA’s Peer-to-Peer Mentor Support Program.
If you or someone you know suspects Lyme disease, please consult with a Lyme-literate physician as soon as possible. GLA can connect you with a physician in your area.
