The 3rd Annual GLA Golf Event proved a massive success, raising $250,000 for tick-borne disease research and awareness. Join the cause and mark your calendars for the 4th Annual event in 2025!

The 3rd Annual Global Lyme Alliance (GLA) Charity Golf Tournament took place on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Greenwich Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut. The event included The event included lunch, 18 holes on the golf course, dinner, an auction, and an awards ceremony. They also had stretching sessions from Lymbr, an opportunity to win a BMW sponsored by BMW, and various contests such as the Putting Challenge, Hole in Two, Closest to the Hole, and Longest Drive.

Eddie Jaeger, one of the participants, sunk a hole in one during the qualifying round of the Putting Challenge, giving him a chance to win $10,000 with a 50ft putt. Although he didn't make it, the entire outing cheered him on, adding to the fun and camaraderie of the event.

The day was filled with excitement and friendly competition, culminating in a packed house for dinner. Longest drive winners were Brandon McNally and Louise Holten, and John Unger and Kim Yantz were the winners of the Closest to the Hole competition. A fun silent auction featured exclusive items such as a dinner cooked by Rao's Chef Dino in your home and a Yankees game in a suite with Joe Girardi. The dinner featured a speech from Dr. Brian Fallon from Columbia University, who delivered a heartfelt thank you to GLA, emphasizing the importance of preparation for outdoor activities to prevent Lyme disease.

The 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Greenwich Country Club was an invaluable contribution that will help support GLA's mission to find a cure for Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses, through innovative research, awareness, and empowering the patient voice. The highlight of the evening was a live auction, an unbeatable opportunity to enjoy unique experiences that had attendees buzzing with excitement.
